The following are step-by-step instructions on determining that you have the latest version of Safari for Mac OS X.

1. Open Safari.

Step 1

2. Select "Safari" from the menu bar.

3. Select "About Safari" from the drop down menu.

4. You will find the version of Safari you are currently using on this line.

5. Select "Close".

6. Select "Safari" from the menu bar.

7. Select "Quit Safari" from the drop down menu.

8. Select the apple icon from the menu bar.

9. Select "System Preferences..." from the drop down menu.

10. Select the "Software Update" icon.

11. Select the "Check Now" button.

12. There are currently no updates available.

13. Select "Close".
